ETS NORD required specialist translation of their CSRD/ESRS sustainability report — one of the most complex new reporting frameworks in European corporate law.

ETS NORD is a Copenhagen-based energy company operating in the Scandinavian power markets. They engaged Fluid Translation to handle the Swedish–English translation of their inaugural CSRD-compliant sustainability report.
CSRD sustainability reports prepared under the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) are among the most technically demanding documents in corporate reporting. They combine environmental data, social indicators, and governance disclosures with precise regulatory definitions that must be translated exactly as specified in the EU standards.
For ETS NORD's project, we assembled a team with CSRD/ESRS expertise and practical knowledge of the energy sector. We built a term base aligned with the official ESRS taxonomy and ETS NORD's own sustainability framework.
The translation covered the full double materiality assessment, ESRS E1 (climate), E2 (pollution), S1 (workforce), G1 (governance), and narrative sections — several hundred pages of highly technical content delivered to a publication deadline.
ETS NORD's project is a clear example of where the difference between a specialist translation partner and a general provider becomes critical. The ESRS framework requires regulatory accuracy that only a team with deep CSRD expertise can reliably deliver. See also our NIBE case study for another example of ESRS-aligned sustainability translation.
