Acuvi needed their precision technology website in German for international expansion — with a seamless CMS workflow built to scale to future markets.

Acuvi, headquartered in Uppsala, has production facilities in Sweden, the USA and Finland. The company serves customers across life sciences, medtech, diagnostics, semiconductors and robotics with high-precision technology. With a global customer base, the goal was to make their website available in more languages — starting with German. Acuvi had worked with Fluid Translation for several years and turned to us again to find an efficient, scalable translation process.
Acuvi needed a fast, reliable way to send website content for translation, manage internal review and publish — without manually exporting and importing text between systems. With a substantial content volume and a tight deadline, the project called for AI-assisted translation with editing and review by one of our specialist linguists. Acuvi's products are highly specific — many patented and unlike anything else on the market — making close collaboration between Fluid's reviewer and Acuvi's internal technical experts essential.
To create a seamless workflow, we implemented a direct CMS connection between Acuvi's WordPress site and MemoQ, Fluid's translation platform. Acuvi installed a WordPress plugin that connected via API, enabling automatic file transfer in both directions. Our linguists drew on previous Acuvi translations, dedicated term bases and advanced QA tools to edit and refine the AI-generated output. Acuvi's internal experts then validated translations using our In-Country Review (ICR) tool — making edits and giving direct feedback to our language team without lengthy review cycles.
The result was a smooth, cost-efficient process that enabled Acuvi to launch their German website on schedule. AI translation with professional editing reduced delivery time. Automated file transfer cut manual overhead. The collaboration between Acuvi's technical experts and Fluid's linguists ensured that product descriptions were accurate, industry-specific and consistent with Acuvi's established terminology.
With the WordPress integration now in place, Acuvi can send future website updates for translation quickly and efficiently — with the same quality-assured workflow already proven for the German launch. For a large-scale multilingual website project, see our Balco case study.
